The Luxonis OAK-D Pro PoE Auto-Focus Camera is an exceptional camera designed for robotic vision, capable of perceiving the world in a manner akin to human vision. This is achieved by integrating an active stereo depth camera and a high-resolution color camera, supplemented with on-device Neural Network inferencing and Computer Vision capabilities. The camera also includes a night vision feature, enabling perception in low-light and no-light conditions.
The Pro version is particularly recommended for applications necessitating high-quality and reliable stereo depth perception in diverse environments. This includes low-light and texture-less scenes, where traditional passive stereo approaches may encounter difficulties.
The camera utilizes Power over Ethernet (PoE) for both power and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. This PoE connection enables the camera to communicate with other computers using various networking protocols. The PoE models are equipped with device flash memory, allowing for the execution of programs in standalone mode. The camera is encased in a rugged, IP-rated enclosure, making it suitable for industrial and outdoor use.
The camera boasts a range of features, including 4 Tera Operations Per Second (TOPS) of processing power, the ability to run any AI model, and various encoding options such as H.264, H.265, and MJPEG. It also offers computer vision capabilities such as warp, resize, crop via ImageManip node, edge detection, and feature tracking. The camera provides stereo depth perception with filtering, post-processing, RGB-depth alignment, and high configurability. It also includes a BNO086 IMU single chip 9 axis sensor with embedded sensor fusion and 2D and 3D object tracking with ObjectTracker node.
