The OAK-1 Power over Ethernet FF 12MP AI Camera is a 12-megapixel artificial intelligence camera that boasts on-device Neural Network inferencing and Computer Vision capabilities. This device is capable of capturing high-resolution images, running custom AI models, and executing advanced computer vision tasks. The PoE technology is utilized for both power and GigE connectivity, enabling the camera to communicate with other computers via various networking protocols such as TCP, UDP, HTTP, MQTT, and more.
The Oak-1 PoE FF is equipped with a device flash memory feature, allowing programs to run in standalone mode. The camera is encased in a robust, IP-rated enclosure, making it suitable for industrial and outdoor use. It comes with 16GB of internal storage, 4 TOPS of processing power, and the ability to run any AI model, including custom-built ones. The device supports various encoding formats such as H.264, H.265, MJPEG, and can perform computer vision tasks like warp, resize, crop, edge detection, and feature tracking. It also supports 2D object tracking with the ObjectTracker node.
The Fixed-Focus variant has a mechanically fixed lens, while the Auto-Focus variant features an electromagnet that dynamically controls the lens position. Both variants are capable of clearly viewing objects from a distance of 50 cm and beyond. Auto-Focus cameras are recommended for viewing close objects between 8 cm to 50 cm from the device and can be manually set to a specific focus position using the DepthAI API. Fixed-Focus cameras are recommended for applications with heavy vibrations, such as drones, lawnmowers, or vehicles.
